I don't have the time and energy to read fiction. I might pick them up later but for now, it's not for me.
With that said, everything else that you do is AMAZING. I am on board for case studies, navy stories, RP history, random dog glimpses and even the cooking videos. Keep it coming.
I think the grab bag is best especially if you like writing a grab bag. You have nothing to prove, lol as you know, yo anyone but only yo yourself. I have learned much from the information you shared and my life is better. My hope is for some down in the dumps soul to reach in the grab bag and pull out some writing that slaps him in the face, wakes him up that he sees hope and he moves forward doing the work. It’s a great life I am living thanks to you and it began with watching your cooking videos. My how you have evolved! Thanks Rian!!

I hope to spread knowledge of female nature. Without you and associated MarriedRP and LTR folk. I'd have suffered in ignorance and have been utterly destroyed. Wondering why my ideas about the world were so wrong.
Nobody is saving the world here. At best, only a small percentage of dudes are going to take action to improve their life. Most are going to take the information and use it as validation for their position in life. It's nothing but fantasy to think that, "Had I known this or done that, things would be different". It's intellectual masturbation and a waste of fucking time, beyond making yourself feel superior in the moment. The only thing that matters is what are you doing about it right now.
You can give people all the knowledge in the world, but acting on it is a completely different beast. A huge number of people are obese not for lack of knowledge, but for lack of action.
You weren't destroyed by anything but your own actions. You're not a victim. Clean your room.
The western world today is life on easy mode. If you lost everything at age 40, there is nothing stopping you from being a millionaire at age 50, being jacked and banging chicks.
I did a search on Amazon for shit testing before I got started - 0 hits.
I spent years trying to articulate how my wife would suddenly act out putting me in a double bind. I started saying "this is a trick", "what's the real reason?".
Then discovered the motherlode in MarriedRP.
How many men suffered henpecked lives of quiet desperation?
I agree on massive action btw. I am a man of means and the best shape for more than a decade. But also intellectually digesting gynocentisms knife edge.
Cool, but some of what you've written gives me the wrong vibes about where you're coming and what you hope to accomplish. It's sounds more ideological and cultish than practical. For example:
"Utterly Destroyed" - Bullshit. Nobody here is destroyed. We've all paid a heavy price.
"Need to know" - Having information available and easy to find is very different than I must spread the gospel. We're not preachers.
"For everybody's sake" - Again, we're not saving the world.
Ideologically, we're living in the mind of a feminist Marxist.
As to cults, online spaces are funnels, there's a process of indoctrination and monetisation.
"destroy" etymology is de- struere meaning unbuild, I had to rebuild my ego, through various main events, struggle sessions, protracted processes of false accusations, etc.
"Need to know" - ignorance is the root of all suffering said Siddharta, Catholics discern vincible ignorance from invincible, vincible ignorance is worse since you have free will to learn it but did not do so, ignorance is no defence they say in law
"For everybody's sake" - men can think systematically with a unus mundus grand scheme of things altruism, we can invent principles, and sacrifice ourselves to protect them "give me liberty or give me death", "presumption of innocence", "due process" which benefits everyone.
I genuinely believe there's no one stop source of information on: 'animus possession', 'shit testing', 'gynocentrism', 'two tier justice', 'implied prenups', '250,000 abortions per day globally', '10,000 family court cases per day in UAS', etc. so we need Prophets who can formulate these novel ideas, and gospel preachers to spread the good news that we can understand our predicament.
We also need redpilled revolution. Applying the leftist cultural techniques to accelerate contradictions. And reform institutions. Using the tools of post-modernity to defeat it and extend it.
New generations of manosphere content creators are moving into virgin territory and the redpill is influencing even ardent feminists.
I'm telling you frone xperience. The last guy who went down this road fell in love with evola and tried to start a cargo cult in South America. He knocked up a chick and is stuck there now
Ideology vs. praxis. I'm more interested in the latter.
In my view, change starts at the individual level. Men have a choice. Don't play the game. Don't get married and if you do, protect yourself. We can all see the rules if we look. We have still agency within an unfair system. I'm more interested in the tools that can be used to navigate the corrupt system. For example, a dude in Canada left the country and went to the Philippines to get out of wage slavery. Men need financial tools... maybe put some money in bitcoin to protect it. Men could learn ways to make money that's off the books. If you start a business, maybe you put it in your mom's name.
I'm not a big believer is big majority movement change. I'm more of an accelerationist. Let the men go wild. Let's see western society burn. Weak men create hard times. Let the cycle happen. At the end of it, society will beg for masculinity again. Or not. Either way, I'll do what's best for me.
I have benefitted from you grabbing past RP stuff and raising it to our attention. Some of it is found on the sidebar, some not. In any case, having it pop up in my inbox is a goad toward reading some stuff. I get overwhelmed rather quickly, so a ping now and again is just right. I would never, ever read fiction on line or even on a Kindle. I must have a book in my hands. I prefer that for everything, honestly. I am a creature of the Paper Age. A mix would be fine as long as it tilted heavily toward your traditional fare.
I'm always open to any content that is Red pill related. Excerpts from the books, case studies, recent revations that tie back to ideas in the books; these are my favorite.
Though I appreciate your pivot to fiction after dedicating a decade-plus to RP content, I'm in the middle of turning around my boat and am absorbing the sidebar and any other RP materials that help clarify how to do it well. I'll save the fiction for later. That being said... You can send whatever you want in any format, I'll skim it all and deep-dive where I see value.
For me, the Venn diagram of all these different things overlaps. I like red pill content, I like film analysis and I like reading, mostly non-fiction, but sometimes fiction.
I have had the same criticisms of many authors, especially in fiction. I think our school system has pushed creative writing too much and should focus more on efficient and clear writing. Your comment that leaving a blank canvas for people to build their own reality is just as effective as using plethora of adjectives that most people don't know the meaning of.
I am surprised you are a fan of Chomsky considering this. I found his writing to be an academic clusterfuck of unclear communication. I think the same points could be said with a quarter of the words he used.
I think short stories are underrated as a genre. If it's 80% convincing people to take a chance, maybe a lower bar helps to get them there. As a concept, what if you were to write a number of short stories and give the first one away for free? Let's say the free one is a 15 minute easy read with a full character arc and a story that is memorable, such that people will talk about it. Maybe the 'funnel' model could be applied to books. And if people like reading your short stories, they'll end up buying the full novels later.
One concept for a series of short stories would be based on the characters in Softbone. Each character could have a standalone backstory that could be read and enjoyed in isolation.
In movies, people seem to love 'backstories'. Even in our field reports, we start with our 'batman origin' stories. Tarantino does this with his movies and characters. Pulp Fiction, for example, is a series of short movies about different characters whose lives are tied together by what should be inconsequential things.
Many resist fiction on this platform (self included). But then you’re stuck writing non-fic or join the navel-gazing folks who write about writing. Stephen King and JK Rowling are insanely successful fiction writers who stay relevant by commenting on current affairs on social media.
I too resist fiction. A lot of it is just boring, drags on, and doesn't say anything. I'm learning a lot about how modern writing is 80% convincing someone that you're not one of those assholes and 20% delivering on not being one of them
That's awesome. I actually spent more time than anyone should have, just to make sure the titles lined up on all the reprints, just in case guys like you have OCD
grab bag helps rationalize the subscription as lots of regular content from different angles. also, I was hooked from the start with the new fiction book and pre-order. can't say the same about dog walker - i.e. did not need the serialization to sell it. but i am no expert on marketing
This is the best solution - right now, my focus is catching up with a backlog of RP content whilst I get my life in order. Once I'm in a better place, I sincerely want to explore your other writing, but its not the right time for that now. Being able to filter and work through your content this way would be a great help.
What comes after the red pill, Rian? You know better than to answer that, but I mean to say, what happens when you've digested the red pill and incorporated it as a partial truth? Can we talk about where guys go? What new places in life do they go, both internally and externally?
I don't have the time and energy to read fiction. I might pick them up later but for now, it's not for me.

I'm fine with you sending everything. I'll decide what I want to read.
Red pill related stuff hitting from different angles
It has been the one constant, thank god

Been hearing more on cooking vids. I may have to start them up again
YES and they were and will be helpful

And how to stop losing it.
For everyone's sake.

Just MRP stuff for now. I occasionally look into your fiction and want to buy/read one of your fiction books this winter when I have more time.
After reading some of the comments, I realized I get some good tips from your cooking stuff.
I have benefitted from you grabbing past RP stuff and raising it to our attention. Some of it is found on the sidebar, some not. I like what you do and hope you are successful at all of it. But I am primarily interested in the MRP and red pill stuff

It's possible. I know some people liked the epilogue to Rexs story in 2gay funerals.
And I hate his writing, I read manufactured consent in spite of that

While I’ve never read a book excerpt on here, I’ve purchased all your books when they launched.
That's awesome. I actually spent more time than anyone should have, just to make sure the titles lined up on all the reprints, just in case guys like you have OCD
Nice neg
not this one. I am more detail oriented than I let on
I would like to know when your new books are available.
Softbone 1 Aug
Prax 4 Probably fall. sept or oct.
Audiobooks, fast as I can produce em
I don't really care for the fiction stuff, I end up archiving it quickly. I will probably get the book when it's a finished product.
I do read the praxeological stuff, reinforcement. Then again, I've been needing less of that and the locker room is enough.
Then again, it's not about me, it's about you. What do you want?
I want to not waste peoples time and to reduce friction.
You have done and are doing just that!
grab bag helps rationalize the subscription as lots of regular content from different angles. also, I was hooked from the start with the new fiction book and pre-order. can't say the same about dog walker - i.e. did not need the serialization to sell it. but i am no expert on marketing
I enjoy reading all the emails, as they're an eclectic but useful and entertaining mix around the core theme of Rule Zero, including the fiction.
You could add prefix tag to the email subject to help people filter, e.g.
- [RZ Post] STFU is Your Superpower
- [Fiction] Softbone: Taking Back What’s Yours
- [Book] Dread: Introduction
- etc
This is the best solution - right now, my focus is catching up with a backlog of RP content whilst I get my life in order.
