It’s not that any woman will, it’s that any woman can.
This is a case study on parental alienation and the 2 year dancing monkey improvement programme.
If you’ve read Dread, you already know what I’m about to say. If you haven’t? Applying a Praxeological approach to your relationship does not guarantee your current relationship will continue. Guys who assume that if they do the work their wives will come around are enacting a very common covert contract I call the dancing monkey improvement programme. It usually lasts 2 years, I don’t know why.
How it works is, sometimes, women have so much baggage from your older shittier self that they can’t get past it. Sometimes, guys realize their wife is just incapable of being any good and they move on. Sometimes, one of you can’t get over the infidelity. There’s always what ifs. The end result is a divorce, separation, splitting up or ghosting, depending on where you are in your relationship.
This is focusing on one of the five outcomes for Dread:
Wife leaves, husband moves on
Wife stays, husband moves on
Wife leaves, husband still sleeps with her
Wife stays, husband still sleeps with her
Status Quo. Husband resigns.
A situation with a full break: no sleeping together, no reconciliation, just divorce. It’s not my favorite. It’s the most common separation and the aspect of this space that is full of useless content from stupid cunts who think they know what they are doing.
Men’s Rights Activists, I’m looking at you.
They read about the threatpoint, they fail the emasculation paradox.
Note: I suggest you read both these first, as they provide the underlying framework for what comes next
Threatpoint
Divorce reform was about more than giving women the ability to divorce easily while collecting cash and prizes. It is also about shifting the power dynamics within marriage. Economists Stevenson and Wolfers explain this in their paper Bargaining in the Shadow of the Law: Divorce Laws and Family Distress.
I strongly suggest you read both articles, as they provide the underlying assumptions that men make in their marriages, explain the environment and the incentives surrounding it, and how the RP got to the conclusions that it has; or how to navigate a space that actively hates men and fathers. No I do not think I am being hyperbolic. It is the banality of evil. Everyone is following the rules so no one is doing anything wrong yet we end up here.
I know this isn’t some conspiracy by an evil cabal to alienate fathers from their children and to break up the nuclear family; but if there was, how would it look any different?
This case study has multiple men explaining the dynamics of their relationship with their children, post divorce. To summarize, it did not matter if the divorce was clean or dirty. It didn’t matter if they turned into man whores or eunuchs. What did matter was whether the guys started a relationship with a younger and hotter woman (all of them had). The wives then used the power of the state and their own custody to alienate the children from them, which they were sometimes unable to repair until after the kids had become legal adults.
The point of reading this is so you understand the complex situation that you are in. You are a man in a relationship, you are starting, have started, or want to start a family but are constantly berated with news stories of bitchy ex wives and supplicate husbands and all kinds of crap.
And since praxeology is about practice and not theory, here is what you can expect if you decide on leaving (or she does) with regards to future relationships and children.
