This is an excerpt from my third book Dread.
What is Pick up?
Everyone talks about the importance of Game. No one actually talks about Game. They talk about Game like it’s the force, or the holy spirit or some esoteric nonsense. Game is the intersection between social skills, sexual market value, logistics, Pathos and storytelling. There’s a lot of variations: London Day game, Night game, social circle game, Christian Game, sneaky fucker game (shout out to my male feminist allies.) Some work, some don’t. Some are overtly manipulative and unattractive, some are subtly manipulative and fun. Of all the working models, they have all been children of the first one, the Mystery Method.
Think of this as a set of training wheels for you to use to begin learning a style of game that works for you. It can build on your strengths, address your weakness, and most important, gives you structure to work from
Looking at the pickup material through both an unplugged and married lens you see the building blocks of Red Pill and its Praxeology. The Mystery Method is one of the first collections of Mental Models. It’s built on three phases: Attract, Comfort, and Seduce. Each of these are broken down into three sub-stages:
A1 – Opener: The man approaches a set, runs an opener, and immediately earns the set’s acceptance
A2 – Female to Male Interest: The man demonstrates higher value, while simultaneously showing lack of Interest in the target. She responds with Indicators of Interest.
A3 – Male to Female Interest: The man baits the woman to become more invested in the interaction, and then he rewards her with Indicators of Interest
C1 – Conversation: The couple shares in friendly conversation. A sense of comfort and rapport follows
C2 – Connection: Both parties feel a vibe that manifests as desire. Sexual escalation occurs. This phase may last over the course of several dates
C3 – Intimacy: After multiple venue switches and escalations, the sexual tension has increased to a red hot buying temperature.
S1 – Foreplay: The couple begins the physical escalation. If this happens too soon, it can cause buyer’s remorse. This is that tense area of ‘will we or won’t we’ and for many men and women is the most fun part, anticipation
S2 – Last Minute Resistance: Last minute resistance is the point of no return. It’s often a freak out moment for the woman. Women are solipsistic and have an instinctive reaction to sexuality that must be managed
S3 – Sex: It is necessary to have sex often and enthusiastically to maintain a relationship, whether it’s for a day or a lifetime.
Look at yourself in the mirror. Would you fuck you? Now think about what you have to do to answer that with a ‘yes.’ Follow all these steps, stick to the road map until you know what you’re doing. Like riding a bike, you start by thinking about your left pedal than your right pedal. Once you know how to ride you don’t think about this stuff at all, you simply go. And once you know how to ride this bike, you’ll be surprised how many of these steps aren’t required. The training wheels can come off.
Author note: I have seen enough guys complaining about manipulating women, lying to get in bed, and heaven forbid the neg. In reality it’s much more mundane. It’s a structure, a way of breaking down all the constituent parts of an interaction with a woman so that you can see where you are weak or unattractive so you can fix your issues.
While there are some canned scripts, they are for examples or guys who truly don’t know how to tell a story. you’re meant to replace them with your own life stories, or learn to live life enough to be able to. I’ll always have a soft spot for it in my life, as my entire first book was both a homage to my time doing it, as well as a subplot of going from virgin to fuckboy to boyfriend (and then husband) and learning that they are all different games with different rules.

I'm frankly tired of people who base their opinions on knee jerk fuesswork. It's not hard to find the original material and isn't hard to digest. I did it while serving in the navy throughout my 20s, so for me it's like anyone who has been doing something for 7 years being schooled by a guy who watched a commercial once
