My buddy Jack Napier wrote a post,
To sum up what I understood, Jack doesn’t like the adage You Are The Prize. Mostly in that it isn’t earned. I don’t disagree with that, and I look at it differently. I don’t see some useless 20 year old who hasn’t done shit in his life, preening over his innate value (like a woman would) since men have no innate value. Our values are what we provide to the world.
Women are, and their goal is to maintain
Men have to become, and their goal is to built it.
Stick to whatever metaphor you want. Men are a fine wine and women are milk. Men are clay to be formed and women are flowers to be wilted, the list is endless, as are the fights from foid and fuck alike.
“But I’m a woman and I have many fancy credentials.” That’s great, invented fictional foil I’m using to make a point. I won’t want you because of you degree, just as you won’t want me for my in-depth Warhammer 40k knowledge.
“My husband says he likes my career though.” Gain a hundred pounds and see how much more of your career there is to love. I don’t know why you’re fighting me on this.
“But I have a scientific study, an infographic, and a very smart man who said you’re wrong.” Silly woman. Graphs are illustrative devices used to make a point. They aren’t the point. And is this the same science that said COVID was deadly, Chocolate helps you lose weight, oxy isn’t addictive, and SSRI’s are the greatest boon for mental health ever? that science?
Okay, enough from the manufactured peanut gallery, I’m supposed to be talking about the prize. You are the price can’t be a sense of innate worth as we aren’t women, we can’t play women’s sports, use women’s bathrooms or run the most dangerous military force in the world like women can.
And since men are what we do, being the prize reads a little differently. I word it as ‘treat everything you have as if it had value’ and it works much better.
Sharing your vulnerabilities with your wife for free? Why give away what you value most?
Your time and attention? Why give it away if your wife doesn’t feel like losing weight, or sleeping with you, or at the very least, being pleasant company?
It doesn’t matter how mundane, how inconsequential you think your regular activities are, if you give them away from free they are without value, unlike a prize. It’s called pillow-talk because, until 2013, it was understood that if women wanted to have a conversation with you, they had to put out first. Why? Because getting your conversation was a prize, and a prize can be won.
So yeah, you are the prize, and like any prize, the government requires taxation based on the cash value of the prize.
Bob Barker got bitches, and Bob Barker treated all of his stuff like a prize. And like any prize, it ain’t free.

First thing I learned from this is that I need to step up my game as a writer.
